Vadiy for field crews
This page is for foremen and technicians using Vadiy on a phone. By the end, you can send an order in about 2 minutes and know where every order stands, signal or no signal.
Order material in three steps
- Search your project. Open your project, start an order, and search for each item by name. If an item is not in the catalog, type it in as free text.
- Build the list. Set a quantity on each line. Add or remove lines until the list matches what you need.
- Confirm and send. Pick the needed-by date and where to deliver, the warehouse or the job site. Tap Submit. The order goes to your project manager.
Add a photo to a line
Some parts are easier to show than to spell. Tap the camera on a line and take a picture. The photo travels with that line, so the warehouse and procurement see exactly the part you mean.
When you have no signal
Basements and new builds kill signal. Order anyway. The order saves on your phone and shows Saved on this device. When your phone finds signal again, the order sends itself. Until then, your dashboard shows Waiting for signal next to it. You never retype an order.
Track your order
Your dashboard lists your orders with a status. Here is what each one means:

|---|---|
| Pending approval | Your project manager has the order and has not decided yet. |
| Being picked | The warehouse is pulling your items from the shelf. |
| With procurement | Someone is buying the items the warehouse does not have. |
| Arriving | The material is on the way. The order shows the expected date. |
Deliveries
The Deliveries view shows what is coming to your job and when. Check it before you plan the crew's day. If a date slips, the order shows the new date, so you find out from your phone, not from an empty gate.
Your tools
Tools checked out to you show on your dashboard under My tools. When the warehouse asks if you still have one, tap I still have it. When they ask for it back, a note appears on the tool; tap Check it in when it leaves your hands. Every tool also has a QR label. Scan it with your phone camera and the tool's page opens: what it is, who has it, and the buttons your role allows.
