- One tamper-resistant outlet for standard US plugs (NEMA 5-15), 15A at 125V. A 20A version is offered at the same price. Needs a single-gang box at least 2 1/8 in deep, set about 2 mm (0.07 in) behind the drywall face. The mounting plate is taped and mudded into the drywall and painted over, so there is no cover plate. Each outlet needs its own branch circuit: no splices in the box and no wires continuing to another device. No GFCI version; use a GFCI breaker where code calls for one. Installing needs the 22 System Tool ($45, sold separately). Accepted in New York City under DOB code interpretations.
